Local Ingredients
We believe good food is about relationships – with people, nutrients, the earth. We believe in sustainability, partnering with farmers and the humane treatment of animals. One of our greatest hopes is that people recognize that food is about change. Beyond seasonality, where freshness means supporting local farmers, sustainable and humane food can bring about change. In the health of our bodies, our communities and the earth.
We are fortunate to live in the Pacific Northwest, a climate and ecosystem where great things happen. We seek out food purveyors who are active in the radical food movement and are proud to bring the fruits of their labor to you.
The ingredients that make our food so karmically good and delicious originate with some of the region’s most responsible farmers and food artisans, many of them Food Alliance Certified. Depending on the season, you’ll find a dozen or more local stewards of the land who are committed to bringing you the best flavors our region has to offer.
We work with local purveyors Carman Ranch (grass-fed beef), Pure Country Pork (natural Italian sausages), Surata Soyfoods (tempeh), Rogue Creamery (Oregon blue cheese), Sweet Briar Farms (Linguiça sausage), Pleasant Valley Farms(sauerkraut) and others to provide you the healthiest, tastiest and freshest offerings.
